Hi, folks. I just joined and was really disappointed to find that there are lots of inappropriate ads, rather than forum discussion here. I am trying to get some info about what my chances of having a successful VBAC would be like. I have had two prior sections, and there may be an issue with my pelvis, or the tilt, or some weird thing like that. Yet, I would still try again for a VBAC. My doctor originally said he wanted me to have a section, but is now totally supportive of this move to try a VBAC again, as long as he doesn't detect any problems with my pelvis. In my previous two labors, I dilated to 10 cm, then ended up not being able to push out either child. The first was timed and I felt I wasn't given the chance, but the second, the baby's head was tilted to the side, and we couldn't turn her at all, and then she had the cord wrapped around her neck so her heartrate was going 40-200-40-200. Current doctor says the tilt of my pelvis could have been the reason my second baby's head was like that to begin with. Sort of the "which came first, the chicken or the egg" thing. So, any help figuring out how likely it would be that I could deliver vaginally would be appreciated. I am also a type 1 diabetic, insulin pump user, but very well controlled. I am 37, pretty healthy overall. Any tips about dealing with the potential roadblocks will be appreciated. Thanks alot! Jennifer

Also, I used a doula with my second, and plan to do so again. I am not a candidate for a midwife because they don't take on "high risk" diabetic patients in NJ. And I can't afford to pay one in addition to the doctor.
